Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational church movement focused on the inerrancy of the Bible and the expository teaching from Genesis to Revelation. Prior to 1993, a few couples in Silver City, New Mexico were praying for a Calvary Chapel to be started here in Silver City. In February 1993, 5 or 6 people began meeting on Thursday evenings in the home of Chris & Marsha Christensen where Joseph Gros led a Bible Study. Since then the Lord has provided rented buildings and finally our own building on Hwy 90 South.
