KSFR IN THE COMMUNITY ALL YEAR LONG

Last summer KSFR sponsored and hosted live broadcasts on and around the Santa Fe Plaza during Pancakes on the Plaza, Lensic 360 Summer Scene, and the special broadcast from the Museum of Contemporary Native American Art during Indian Market. Efforts included community outreach to the youth, as well as a broadcast journalism internship from the University of New Mexico through a fellowship funded by the New Mexico Local News Fund. KSFR is now developing a regular special programming with the Indigenous Youth Council sponsored by the New Mexico Office of Indian Affairs to examine issues of concern of the New Mexico indigenous youth from the 19 area Pueblos and Apache and Navajo tribes.
