RECOGNITION OF WINNING ENTRIES DURING 2024 NMBA SUMMER CONVENTION
The New Mexico Broadcasters Association is proud to announce the recipients of the association’s Excellence in Broadcasting Awards. This award reflects the outstanding achievement of individual broadcasters and broadcast teams from around the state. Categories recognize exceptional news coverage, entertainment, production, digital media and creativity across four radio markets and television. The winning entries represent innovative news coverage and quality programming in New Mexico.
Stations of the Year were determined for each division:
- Small Market Radio: KNCE, True Taos Radio, Taos
- Medium Market Radio: KZOR, Noalmark Broadcasting, Hobbs
- Large Market Radio: KRWG-FM, KRWG Public Media, Las Cruces
- Metro Market Radio: KQTM-FM, The Team, Rio Rancho
- Television Market: KOAT, Hearst Television, Albuquerque
Broadcast professionals from Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Idaho, and Vermont representing television and radio stations of similar market sizes, served as this year’s judges. A full list of winners in all categories is available on our website.
The NMBA will present these and other awards at the annual NMBA Excellence in Broadcasting Awards Gala on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Sheraton Uptown in Albuquerque. The event is in conjunction with the NMBA Summer Convention. Registration for the convention is open now.
